2015 has been a tremendous year for the Methow Chapter so far and it's only bound to get better.  Already our hard working volunteers have contributed hundreds of hours of their time to constructing new singletrack at Sun Mountain and spring trail maintenance on the lower Lightning Creek, Bear Mountain, Middle Fork Beaver Creek, Cutthroat Lake, and Twisp River trails.

Later this month, we'll host the Methow Singletrack Solstice, a weekend of Methow Valley mountain biking that raises funds to support the Methow Chapter and its mission to improve mountain biking in the Methow Valley.  The weekend features great riding, socializing, and a raffle and is a great way to make some Methow Valley mountain biking memories with your buddies.

There were lots of happy faces at last year's Singletrack Solstice

But that's not all we have in the works for this season, the rest of the season has important projects planned as well.  We are expecting to get the green light from the Forest Service in the next couple weeks for a revamp of the Pete's Dragon trail at Sun Mountain that will make it into a much more flowy, fun, and sustainable trail. Also on the docket is a project to improve signage on many multi-use Forest Service trails in the Valley that are popular with mountain bikers.  The Methow Chapter is proud and grateful to have received a grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington to help finance this effort.  It will make it much easier for visitors and locals alike to find the trails they want to ride.
