Now that things have calmed down in the Methow Valley and we can all relax a bit and think about riding and recreation, its time for us to get back on track and get some trail work done!
The Methow Chapter of the Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance will be hosting a Second Sunday Singletrack Session trail work party at the popular Sun Mountain Trail System. The September 14th work party will work on the first of several trail projects for these trails developed in conjunction with the Forest Service. This particular project will be a reroute and new trail section being constructed on the lower portion of Magpie continuing from the switchbacks reconstructed a few years ago to the bottom of the trail. The goal is to make the trail flow much better and be more sustainable with less erosion and rutting.
Meet at the Chicadee Trailhead at 8am, Sunday Sept 14th. Bring work gloves, water, and a snack or lunch. We'll see you there!
