The Methow Chapter's first trail work party of 2015 this past Sunday got an excellent start on the construction of a new singletrack extension of the Black Bear trail. Thirteen volunteers put in over three hours completing about half of this project. When complete, the new half-mile singletrack section will end near the top gate on the Winthrop Trail. A few of the work party volunteers got out for a quick ride following the morning session and sampled the new section of trail and found it to ride quite well in either direction. If you missed out on this work party, don't worry, others will be scheduled soon to complete this and other trail projects.
